4.2 Start/stop-procedure
Connect electricity and start the compressor by turning the switch on the pressure switch. Please note!
when the compressor is to be shut off always turn the knob on the pressure switch. (as the pressure is
shut off please check if the compressor ventilates through the pressure switch. - after ventilation it is
more easy to restart the compressor due to less resistance. When the compressor is used for the first
time the rotation direction of the flywheel should be checked. The rotation must follow the direction indi-
cated by the red arrow on the motor. If the rotation direction is not correct the phase must be turned. In
case of this please contact an electrician. When using the compressor for the first time sometimes oil can
leak out through the oil ventilation. This is normal. At all time the oil glass should be 1/2 filled.
4.3 Pressure regulation
If the compressor is overloaded the motor protection relay will shut off the machine. For safety reasons a
safety valve is mounted on the compressor in connection with the pressure switch.
Air out let is situated from the end of the tank. The machine has been adjusted to pressure of 8 bar.
However the working pressure can be adjusted to the pressure the tank has been approved to.(Please
see the sign on the tank). The pressure can be adjusted under the dark cap on the pressure switch by
turning the screw in the + or - direction. After adjustment the pressure is read on the pressure gauge.
Normally the compressor will stop at a pressure of 9 bar and starts again when the pressure is below 6
bar.
5.1 Ordinary maintenance
The life span of the compressor depends on the maintenance. Please check oil, belttigthning, air filter and
make sure the cylinder is kept clean. (Oil-tied dust on the cylinder can reduce the cooling effect on the
compressor.)
The oil should be changed every 6 month. First time after 50 working hours. After changing oil the oil
glass should be half way filled. It is also of great importance that the tank is drained for condensed water
at least one time every 14 days. (The drain is placed in the bottom of the tank.) Depending on how dusty
the environment around the compressor is the filter in the air filter should be changed on a regular basis.
5.2 Oil type
ONLY USE APPROVED FULL SYNTHETIC COMPRESSOR OIL. VI RECOMMEND RENO RCS68. IF
USING ORDINARY MOTOR OIL VITAL PARTS OF THE COMPRESSOR WILL BE DAMAGED.
5.3 Environmental demands
When changing oil it is not allowed to discharge the oil directly on the ground. Instead the public depart-
ment for environmental matters should be contacted in order to find appropriate places to dispose the oil.
