  If your ReSound Hearing Aid produces no sound, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the device is turned on by fully closing the battery door.   If the wireless feature on your ReSound Hearing Aid isn't working, and you have an Alera device with a push button, open and close the battery compartment. If you have an Alera device without a push button, open and close the battery door twice within 10 seconds. For all Verso devices, open and close the battery compartment once. The wireless functionality should reactivate 10 seconds later.

  If your ReSound Hearing Aid isn't loud enough, there are a few things you can check. Make sure the earmould is correctly inserted. If it is, examine the earmould or dome for blockages and clean the earmould, replace the dome, or replace the filter. Also, a blocked sound outlet filter can reduce volume, so change the filter. If a volume control is available, try increasing the volume. If these steps don't help, consult your physician to rule out excessive ear wax or consult your hearing care professional regarding changes in hearing sensitivity.
