  • Battery Charging: The Li-ion battery pack is not charged at the factory and should be charged before use. For optimal performance, fully charge/discharge the battery two or three times initially. Use only the specified Retevis charger. Charge in ambient temperatures between 5℃-40℃ (40°F - 105°F). Turn off the radio before charging. Do not interrupt the charging cycle until the green light indicates full charge. Avoid recharging a fully charged battery. Do not charge a damp battery or radio.
  • Battery Storage: Store the battery at approximately 80% discharged in a low-temperature, dry environment, away from hot places and direct sunlight.
  • Safety Precautions: Do not short-circuit battery terminals or throw batteries into fire. Do not attempt to remove the casing from the battery pack. Avoid placing the radio near airbags or in areas sensitive to electromagnetic radiation (hospitals, aircraft, blasting sites). Turn off the radio when refueling or at gasoline service stations. Do not transmit without an antenna.
