How to use the controller (cont.)
Power on/o button1)
BEFORE powering on the Roamer:
Ensure the power cable and controller cable are properly connected per the
assembly instructions.
WARNINGS
Ensure power is OFF when Roamer is not in use.
DO NOT use the controller while the Roamer is folded or being transported.
As there is no key or locking mechanism for the controller, ensure that NO children,
pets, or persons with limited physical/mental faculties are able to access the controller
at any time.
Ensure Roamer is fully unfolded and folding latch is locked in.
Ensure both dual rear levers are in Drive mode.
Ensure user is properly seated and that the intended pathway is clear.
Press button once to power on the Roamer.
When the power is on, the controller lights will turn on automatically.
Press button again to power off the Roamer.
When the power is off, the controller lights will turn off automatically.
Battery level indicator2)
The battery level indicator shows the amount of battery life remaining.
Green lights = 70 – 100% battery life remaining
Yellow lights = 30 – 70% battery life remaining
Red light = 0 – 30% battery life remaining
It is recommended to always charge the Roamer back to 100% battery life after each
use, in order to prevent the risk of battery level going to 0% during usage.
Note that while the Roamer is charging, the battery level indicator will NOT turn on to
show charging progress. (Charging progress is indicated by the light on the charger
itself.)
Horn alert button3)
Press button once to have the Roamer emit an alert sound.
This button should be used to alert other people in the vicinity of the user’s approach.
Power must be ON in order for the button to work.
There is currently no volume adjustment available for the alert sound.
