Interconnecting Tubing (cont.)
For applications that are considered to have a long
line set with the outdoor unit and indoor unit on the
same level the following is required:
• on the indoor unit
• Start components may be required depending
upon quality of voltage
• rancase heater
• Insulated liquid and suction line
• apor line should slope toward the indoor unit
• ollow the proper line siing, equivalent length,
charging requirements, and oil level adjustments
spelled out in this document and the outdoor
units I&O
• erify adequate sub-cooling at the ID unit prior
to throttling device
For applications that are considered to have a long
line set with the outdoor unit below the indoor unit
the following is required:
• at the IDunit
• rancase heater
• Start components may be required depending
upon quality of voltage
• Inverted vapor-line trap eference igure 3
• Insulated liquid and suction line
• ollow the proper line siing, equivalent length,
charging requirements, and oil level adjustments
spelled out in this document and the outdoor
units I&O
• easure pressure at the liquid line service valve
and prior to expansion device. Verify that it is
not greater than 50 PSI
• or elevations greater that 25 can expect a
lower sub-cooling
