  Press MENU/OK to accept the new 
memo.
The new memo will be recorded with the 
next photograph taken.
To delete barcodes read with [Mode3] 
selected for [Barcode Mode], highlight the 
first item in the camera memo dialog and 
press 
$ to display the description list. Press 
! or " to highlight [No Setting] and press 
MENU/OK.
Playback Mode
1.
  Display a photograph.
Display a photograph to which you wish to 
add barcode data.
2.
  Press the ADJ./MEMO button.
The [Camera Memo] screen appears.
3.
  Press the # button.
You can now read barcode data.
4.
  Point the camera toward the 
barcode you want to read and press 
the # button.
The camera switches to macro mode and 
reads the barcode data. When the camera 
finishes reading the barcode, the data are 
stored as a temporary description for the 
first item in the memo.
If the camera is unable to read the barcode 
or if you wish to exit without reading the 
barcode, press $ or DISP. to return to the 
camera memo dialog. Press # to read the 
barcode again.
Non-ASCII characters in the barcode data 
will be replaced by asterisks (“*”).
5.
  When [Barcode Mode] is set to 
[Mode2], you can repeat Step 4 and 
read additional barcodes.
6.
  Press the MENU/OK button to 
confirm the camera memo.
7.
  Press the MENU/OK button.
The memo will be added to the 
photograph.
•  You cannot read the same barcode more than 
once.
•  If, after reading the barcode, you shoot a 
picture or change modes and then read 
another barcode, the previously registered 
barcode data is overwritten.
•  If you edited the camera memo before reading 
a barcode, the changes to the camera memo 
are not retained if the camera is unable to 
read the barcode. However, voice memos are 
retained.
•  You can edit the barcode data registered as a 
temporary memo. (GP.31)
•  The time available to read barcodes can be 
selected using the [Scan Time] option in the 
camera memo menu.
