Technical Bulletin PAGE: 2/3
Reissued: 22-Dec-16
Modified Points or Symptom Corrected
When a site certificate is imported to the device from Web Image Monitor, an error
occurs and "Invalid site certificate" is displayed in the browser.
Other changes:
- Changed the DH key specification to use 2,048 bits instead of 512 bits to prevent
the Logjam vulnerability (CVE-2015-4000). In addition, by modifying this
specification, SSL/TLS communication can be established when using Mac OS X
10.10.4 and iOS 8.4.
- When a site certificate that uses characters other than those specified by RFC5280
is imported to the device, the device will reject the import.
- Support for AirPrint.
This firmware is dependent on the following firmware modules. Please be sure to
update all of them:
- Printer firmware: v2.12 or later (D1465570L)
- Web Support firmware: v2.06.1 or later (D1465561H)
- PDF firmware: v1.06 or later (D1655733F)
Symptom corrected:
1. When the device is in Energy Saver Mode, if information about the network
interface for the device is being obtained from the SNMP Manager application,
nonexistent errors are recorded in the system logs.
2. When the display language of the operation panel is set to Catalan, Scan to Folder
fails.
Other changes:
- When printing from the Windows operating system, if the RAW protocol is used for
the standard TCP/IP port, a significant amount of time might pass until the next job
is printed. Because of this, the initial print timeout period is changed to 15 seconds
and the shortest timeout period that can be set is changed to 5 seconds.
1. When resuming from an Energy Saver mode, functions that use HTTP, including
Web Image Monitor, might not be usable and the device might not be operable.
2. When SP5-985-001 is set to "0" (disabled) and SP5-985-002 is set to "1" (enabled),
an SC997 error might occur if repeatedly switching between the home screen and
the system settings screen.
3. When conducting IPP printing on Mac OS X 10.9, the document might not print.
4. When running the port scan tool via the IPP port (TCP 631), an SC899 error might
occur.
5. When the device repeatedly goes in and out of Energy Saver Mode while the legacy
Browser application is running on the operation panel, an SC899 error might occur.
6. When transitioning to multiple webpages in the Web Browser application on the
operation panel, a connection error might occur and then the application might not
be accessible for a certain period.
