Overview

The document describes the RIDGID ONE-STOP Wrench™, a compound 2-in-1 tool engineered for plumbers to simplify plumbing work. It is presented as a "REDESIGNED!" product, emphasizing its updated features and ease of use.

Function Description:

The ONE-STOP Wrench™ is designed to facilitate the installation of angle stops, compression fittings, and various other plumbing components. Its primary function is to provide the necessary wrench sizes and features to perform these tasks efficiently, reducing the need for multiple tools. The tool integrates two wrenches into one: a larger wrench and a smaller wrench that is stored within the tubular body of the larger one. This design allows for a compact and versatile tool that addresses common plumbing challenges.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Wrench Sizes:
    • Open-end: Provides both a 9/16" and a 15/16" surface wrench.
    • Box-end: A unique open box-end specifically designed for 3/8" line nuts.
  • Box Wrench Design: Features an open-end 12-point box line wrench.
  • Insert Feature: The larger wrench includes an insert designed to grasp the narrow shoulder of 3/8" couplings or Delta Tube™ products.

Usage Features:

The ONE-STOP Wrench™ is highlighted for its "Simple, Easy To Use..." nature, offering several features that enhance its usability:

  • 2-in-1 Compound Tool: Combines two wrenches into one, making it a versatile solution for various plumbing tasks.
  • Integrated Smaller Wrench: The smaller wrench is conveniently stored within the tubular body of the larger wrench. It can be easily unscrewed and withdrawn for use.
  • Stability and Pointing for Angle Stops: When installing angle stops, the lug at the end of the smaller wrench can be inserted into the riser mouth. This provides stability and allows the user to point the angle stop at the optimum angle for later insertion of the supply tube.
  • Tightening Compression Nuts: After positioning, the larger wrench is used to tighten the back compression nut, eliminating the need for awkward maneuvering in confined spaces.
  • Improved Grip on Riser Nuts: The open-end 12-point box line wrench is designed to slip over the supply tube and onto the riser nut. Its 12-point design allows for grasping the riser nut in twice as many positions as a standard open-end wrench, preventing "rolling" of the wrench and ensuring a secure grip.
  • Secure Holding for 3/8" Nuts: The insert within the larger wrench is specifically designed to grasp the narrow shoulder of 3/8" couplings or Delta Tube™ products. This feature holds the body in place, allowing the 12-point line wrench to effectively tighten the 3/8" nuts.
  • Versatile Applications: The wrench is described as being "perfect for" a range of applications, including:
    • Straight Stops
    • Appliance Legs
    • Shower Heads
    • Faucet Nuts
    • Stool Bolts
  • Reduced Guessing in Confined Spaces: The design aims to eliminate the need for "guessing while on your back in a dark confined cabinet," suggesting improved ergonomics and efficiency in challenging work environments.
  • Comprehensive Sizing: The tool provides "all the exact sizes you need to install angle stops and compression fittings," reducing the need for multiple specialized wrenches.

Maintenance Features:

  • Full Lifetime Warranty: The product comes with a "FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY Against Material Defects & Workmanship." This indicates a commitment from RIDGID to the quality and durability of the tool, suggesting that maintenance concerns related to defects are covered. While specific user maintenance steps are not detailed in this document, the warranty implies that the tool is built to last and any issues arising from manufacturing or material flaws will be addressed by the company.

The document emphasizes the ONE-STOP Wrench™ as a practical and efficient tool for professional plumbers, simplifying common installation tasks and improving overall workflow.
