: The values of Stop Distance, Span, Sweep Points, and Velocity Factor are
correlative. The formula is shown as follows:

Remarks:
Once the value of Stop Distance is modified, the value of Sweep Points will be
automatically modified.
Port Velocity Factor
Sets the Velocity Factor of cable under test relative to the velocity of light in the
vacuum. The velocity factor for the common dielectric materials is as follows:
⚫ VF (velocity factor) for solid PE (solid polyethylene) is about 0.66.
⚫ VF (velocity factor) for solid PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is about 0.70.

Port Specific Loss
Sets the cable loss for the port. It is used to compensate the attenuation of the
stimulus signal in different positions of a cable.
