Download and Set Up the Ring App

Get the Ring App

Download the Ring app from the App Store or Google Play to set up your device.

In-App Setup

Select "Set Up a Device" in the Ring app and follow the on-screen instructions for setup.

Connect the Wires to the Terminal Block

Terminal Block Wiring Procedure

Loosen terminal screws, strip wires, insert, and tighten to secure connections.

Terminal Polarity

Note that positive and negative terminals are interchangeable for wiring.

Remove the Knockout

Knockout Location

Identify a knockout on the call box or junction box at least 1/2" away from the wall.

Terminal Identification

Connect wires to desired access control terminals using included cable labels for identification.

Install the Puck Antenna

Antenna Installation Steps

Unscrew nut/washer, insert cable through knockout, place washer, and screw nut to secure antenna.

Antenna Placement

Ensure the puck antenna is outside the call box or junction box after installation.

Place Your Access Controller

Adhesive Mounting

Apply adhesive strips to the back of the controller and press against a clean surface for 30 seconds.

External Mounting Hole

If mounting outside, drill a hole for antenna and terminal block wires.

Connect the Terminal Block to Your Access Controller

Terminal Block Connection

Plug the terminal block connector into the mating connector on your Access Controller.

Connect the Antenna or Ethernet Cable

Antenna Connection

Attach the puck antenna connector to the antenna port on the controller until it locks.

Ethernet Connection

If using Ethernet, plug the cable into the Ethernet port on the controller.

Power It Up

External Power Connection

For devices mounted outside, plug into an outlet using the included USB cable and power brick.

Internal Power Connection

For devices mounted inside, connect power wires to terminals 7 and 8 on the terminal block.

LED and Connector Terminal Indicators

Power (PWR) and Cellular (CELL) Indicators

Understand PWR solid light for powered status and CELL color codes for coverage.

Connectivity (CON) and Operation (RUN) Indicators

Learn about CON flashing light for internet and RUN flashing light for device operation status.

Record (REC) and Door Status (DR1/DR2) Indicators

Interpret REC solid light for recording mode and DR1/DR2 solid light for door opening.
