There are three conguraons for vent terminaons that
can be used:
1.Concentric Terminaon (IPEX Concentric Vent Kit) -
Allows for only one penetraon through a wall or roof.
2.Snorkel Terminaon
-Allows for easier clearance above grade when
having to terminate through lower point
3.Side Wall Tee Terminaon

Exhaust and combuson air piping must be securely
fastened to structure every 4 feet, to ensure
dimensions shown in Figures throughout this
document are maintained.
strap vercal vent too ghtly as the strapping
must permit the vent to move in the event of
expansion and contracon.
Straps are eld supplied. Use straps, clamps or equiva-
lent that will not score or damage the pipe. Expansion
and contracon should be addressed between appli-
ance and terminaon point.
All penetraons must be sealed according to local
building codes. Caulking for side wall terminaons and
ashing for roof penetraons are typical. Use only PVC/
CPVC compable sealing material, contact PVC/CPVC
manufacturer for a complete list.

For installaons with mulple terminaons, maintain
appropriate clearances between terminals. (Reference

The pipe length of the concentric vent kit can be
shortened; providing that the cung and cemenng
procedures adhere to the System 636 guidelines;
reference Ipex installaon instrucons for further
informaon.
Pipe lengths and/or ngs be added to the


Moisture in the ue gas will condense as it leaves the
vent terminal. In cold weather this condensate can freeze
on the exterior wall, under the eaves, and on surrounding
objects. Some discoloraon to the exterior of the building
is to be expected. However, improper locaon or installa-
on can result in severe damage to the structure or exte-
rior nish of the building.

Danger of re or bodily injury – Solvent cements and
primers are highly ammable. Provide adequate
venlaon and do not assemble near heat source or open
ame. Do not smoke. Avoid skin or eye contact. Observe
all cauons and warnings on material containers.
