LUBRICATE
GEAR
HOUSING AND
REPLACE
BLADE
After washing the Blade, wipe dry
with a
soft
cloth.
Wipe
Gear
Housing
with
damp
cloth
and
wipe
dry.
Fromm
time
to
time,
apply
Vaseline"
to
Gears
and
Blade
Bearings
to
maintain
easy
operation (as shown).
Replace
Blade
by
lowering
it
into
slot
(A).
Turn
Blade
back
and
forth
to
be
Sure
Gears
engage
properly.
Insert
Threaded
Shaft
through
Blade
and
screw
Thumb
Nut
on
shaft.
Tighten
securely.
APPLY
VASELINE
MOTOR
(NEVER USE
WET
CLOTH ON MOTOR
OR
PLACE
MOTOR
IN WATER)
To
remove
Motor,
loosen
Set
Screw
with
screwdriver
or
dime.
Grip
Motor
with
right
hand
and
hold
slicer
base
firmly
with
left
hand.
Tilt
Motor
upward
and
slide
it
out
from Slicer.
To replace Motor, insert shaft into opening
in
Blade Head. Move
Motor
lightly
up
and
down,
exerting slight pressure,
until
shaft slides
all
the
way
in
and
motor
shoulder
meets
Blade
Head
opening.
Turn
Motor down until
Bumper
rests
firmly
on
base.
Tighten
Set
Screws
until
snug.
THICKNESS
GUIDE
To
remove,
first
lift
off
Food
Tray.
Then
turn
Thickness
Regulator
Knob
counterclockwise
until
Threaded
Shaft
releases.
The
Thickness
Guide
slides
out
to
the
left.
Wash
in
hot,
soapy
water.
Rinse
and
dry.
(Or
wash
in
top
rack
of
dishwasher.)
From
time
to
time,
apply
Vaseline
to
the
Threaded
Shaft.
To replace, align
Threaded
Shaft
and
Guides
into
slots.
Turn
Thickness
Regulator
Knob
clockwise
until
Thickness
Guide
lines
up
with
Blade.
RUBBER
FEET
Clean
with
any
grease-removing
cleanser,
such
as
alcohol
or
window
cleaner.
