Wash

slice
fresh
vegetables

cheese.
Sprinkle
with
shredded
cheese.
Cover

simmer

minutes.
Add thinly
sliced
Mozzarella
cheese
and
pepperoni,
if
desired.

HOT DEVONSHIRE SANDWICH
8
" slices
French
or
Italian
bread,
buttered
and
toasted
1
or
2
tomatoes,
thinly
sliced
2
cups
medium
white
sauce
or
one
10-0z.
can
cream
of
celery
soup
Thinly
sliced cooked turkey, ham,
beef
or
Canadian
bacon
16
thin
slices
Cheddar
cheese
8
bacon
strips,
fried
crisp
and
crumbled
1
onion
(optional),
thinly
sliced
Slice bread, meat,
cheese,
onion and tomatoes
in
order listed. Butter a
large shallow baking
dish
and
place
toasted
bread
slices
in
bottom.
Arrange
meats
on
bread;
spread
with
white
sauce
or
soup.
Top
each
with
slice
of
tomato,
onion;
cover
with
cheese.
Bake
in
preheated
oven
at
350
for 15 minutes. Garnish with
bacon.
Place
under
broiler until lightly
browned.
