How to lock and fold the stem

Release the black safety clasp on the
top part of the locking mechanism.

Unscrew the bottom locking mech-
anism counterclockwise until there
is a gap between the silver bottom
locking mechanism and the neck of
the scooter.

Attach the folding hook on the top
of the stem to the folding latch on
the deck of the scooter.

Pull the stem upright
from the scooter to
release it, then fold it
down onto the neck of
the scooter.

Unscrew the top
locking mechanism
counterclockwise until
there is a gap between
the black and silver
parts of the mechanism.
