Overview

The Robo-Plus V2 is an automatic pool cleaner designed for use in swimming pools. Its primary function is to autonomously clean the pool, removing debris and dirt from the pool surfaces.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Operating Temperature: The optimal working temperature for the Pool Cleaner is between 10°C and 35°C.
  • Maximum Pool Depth: The Pool Cleaner is suitable for swimming pools no deeper than 3 meters.
  • Power Supply: The Control Box connects to an outside AC power of 100V/240V 50/60Hz. It requires an earth leakage detection device (Ground Fault Interrupter or Earth Leakage Interrupter) for safety.
  • Operating Time: The device should not be used for more than 4 hours at a time. For commercial pool cleaners, a limit of 8 hours applies.
  • Control Box Placement: The Control Box and Caddy Cart must remain at least 3 meters away from the edge of the pool when in use. The Control Box should be placed in a dry, shaded area and must not come into contact with water. It should also not be covered during operation to prevent overheating.

Usage Features:

  • Submersion: Before turning on the Control Box, the Pool Cleaner must be fully submerged in the pool. To ensure proper submersion and air release, place the cleaner into the pool until the sponge wheels are soft, then turn it upside down to release any trapped air. It will then sink automatically.
  • Connection: The control box attaches to a caddy with screws. The floating cable plug is inserted into the socket of the Control Box after unscrewing the safety cap.
  • Power On: The cleaner is activated by pressing the red power button on either the Control Box or the Remote Control.
  • Cleaning Cycle Completion: Once the cleaning cycle is finished, unplug the power socket (100V/240V). The robot should be lifted out of the pool using its handle, not by the floating cable, to prevent damage and avoid voiding the warranty.
  • Storage: After use, the Control Box should be disconnected from the pool cleaner. The floating cable should be wound in a circle by hand and placed on the Pool Cleaner or caddy. The entire unit should then be stored in a safe, dry, and well-ventilated area. Direct sunlight should be avoided when the unit is not in use. The robot should be removed from the pool after use.
  • Control Box Functions (Lights and Buttons):
    • Power Button:
      • Holding the button: Turns the robot in the desired direction.
      • Short press: Reverses the robot's direction of travel (two presses mentioned for this function).
      • Short press: Commences climbing mode.
      • Short press: Selects a preferred delayed start time (4, 8, or 12 hours – not available in Australia).
      • Short press: Selects the time cycle.
    • Lights (Control Box with Delayed Start Function - Not available in Australia):
      • Light 1 (RED): Standby mode and No Climb mode.
      • Light 1 (GREEN): Climb mode.
      • Light 2: Working time 0.5h or delayed 4hrs.
      • Light 3: Working time 1h or delayed 8hrs.
      • Light 4: Working time 2h or delayed 12hrs.
    • Lights (Control Box without Delayed Start Function):
      • Light 1 (RED): Standby mode.
      • Light 1 (BLUE): No climb mode.
      • Light 1 (GREEN): Climb mode.
      • Light 2: Working time 0.5h.
      • Light 3: Working time 1h.
      • Light 4: Working time 2h.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Do not swim in the pool while the cleaner is in use.
    • Do not use the cleaner during thunderstorms.
    • Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
    • Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, can use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe use and understanding of hazards.
    • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
    • The Pool Cleaner is designed exclusively for swimming pools; any other use is prohibited and voids the warranty.
    • If the supply cord is damaged, a replacement cable must be ordered from the local distributor.

Maintenance Features:

  • Filter Bag Cleaning:
    • Unlock the latches on the Base Plate.
    • Remove the Filter Bag from the Base Plate.
    • Clean the Filter Bag.
    • Once clean and dry, put the Filter Bag back onto its frame and then into the Pool Cleaner.
    • Ensure the side marked "TAG" on the Filter Bag is at one of the short ends of the base plate when re-fitting.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a "Troubleshooting" section to help identify and resolve common issues such as the cleaner not working, not collecting debris, turning in one direction only, not sinking, or dirt coming through the impeller cover.
  • Pre-Maintenance Safety: Before performing any maintenance or service on the Pool Cleaner, the power MUST BE DISCONNECTED from the Control Box to avoid personal injury or property loss.
  • Impeller Check/Replacement: If debris is not being collected, check if the impeller is jammed, dirty, or damaged. Clean or replace as necessary.
  • Filter Bag Check/Replacement: If debris is not being collected, the filter bag might be full and needs cleaning. If dirt is coming through the impeller cover, the filter bag might be loose, broken, or the dirt is too fine for the current filter bag. Replace with a finer filter bag if needed, or run the pool filter simultaneously for the next 2 days.
  • Drive Belt Check/Replacement: If the cleaner is turning in only one direction, the drive belt might be loose or broken and needs replacement.
  • Impeller Cover Check/Replacement: If debris is not being collected, the impeller cover might be missing and needs replacement.
  • Sponge Wheel Saturation: If the cleaner does not sink, the sponge wheels may not be saturated. Hold the cleaner in water until they are soft.
  • Air Release: If the cleaner does not sink, it might have air inside. Invert the cleaner to release the air, then re-invert.
  • Distributor Contact: If the root cause of a problem cannot be found or is not covered in the troubleshooting guide, contact the local distributor or place of purchase.
