  Low or distorted speaker output from your Rockford Fosgate Amplifier can occur for several reasons: * The input gain signal might be incorrectly set. If so, readjust the amplifier's input gains. * The source unit output might be too low or have no output. To solve it, check the system with a known working source and repair or replace the original source as needed. * The XCard might be missing or not properly placed in the cross-over slots. Ensure the XCard is correctly positioned, repairing or replacing it if necessary. * Low battery voltage or significant voltage drops to the amplifier under load can be the cause. Inspect the alternator, battery, fuse, and power and ground wiring, making any necessary repairs.

  A turn-on pop noise in your Rockford Fosgate Amplifier could be due to: * A voltage spike from the output of a preceding component entering the amplifier through the input signal. Disconnect the input signal to the amplifier and turn the amplifier on and off. If the noise is eliminated, connect the REM lead of the amplifier to the source unit with a delay turn-on module. * A voltage spike from the remote turn-on lead entering through the REM input terminal. Use a different 12-volt source for the amplifier's REM lead (e.g., battery direct). If the noise is eliminated, use a relay to isolate the amplifier from the noisy turn-on output.
