This kind of "multipath calibration" offers the following additional benefit:
During manual calibration, the measured reflection/transmission coefficients are pre-
sented as memory traces - one per path. By comparing these traces, it should be pos-
sible to track down hardware problems (cables, connectors, matrix, ...) already during
calibration.
