Auto O Function
With the factory settings, this product’s power will automatically be switched o 4 hours after you stop playing or operating the unit. If you don’t want the
unit to turn o automatically, change the “Auto O” setting to “OFF” as described below.
1. Choose MENU g SYSTEM g OPTIONS.

OFF The power will not turn o automatically.
4 HOURS The power will automatically turn o if no operation is performed for 4 hours.
Output Gain Parameter
This adjusts the output gain of the SPD-30. By setting the output gain to “+6 dB” you can obtain a higher output level than before.
1. Choose MENU g AMBIENCE g LIMIT.

Enhanced Phrase Loop Settings
Phrase Standby Mode (Play/Stop)
Here you can select whether to “record” or “play” following phrase loop standby.
1. Choose MENU g SETUP g SETUP.

Stand by ready to “record.”
The result is the same as when you hold down the [REC] button and press the [STANDBY] button.
PLAY STANDBY
Stand by ready to “play.”
The result is the same as when you hold down the [PLAY] button and press the [STANDBY] button.
Recall the phrase assigned in “KIT OTHERS-PHRASE” (SPD-30 Owner’s Manual; p. 34).
* In the following cases, recording will begin without playback even if you don’t specify “PLAY STANDBY.”
• If the phrase is empty (i.e., the rst time you record)
• If the MENU g OTHERS g PHRASE parameter “Phrase Play” (SPD-30 Owner’s Manual p. 34) is turned “OFF.”
Pad sensitivity adjustment for phrase loop start
Here you can adjust the pad sensitivity for starting the phrase loop.
1. Choose MENU g SETUP g SETUP.
Parameter Value Explanation
Hit Pad Start
DISABLE Striking the pad will not start the phrase loop. Press [Button 2] (START) to start.
SENS 1
The phrase loop will start only when you strike the pad strongly. This prevents inadvertent pad operation from starting
the phrase loop.
SENS 2 This sensitivity is mid-way between SENS 1 and SENS 3.
SENS 3 The phrase loop will start even if you strike the pad softly.
