Starting Activation from the Utility
1. Connect your computer to the Internet.
2. Connect the TR-8 to your computer via USB.
3. Start the utility.

You've Registered Using E-mail Address and
Password on the Roland Account Service
1. Click the radio button near by "Users who registered
on
Roland Account Service with email address and
password."
2. Input your E-mail address and Password in each field.
3. Click the [Activate] button below.
The screen indicates "Activation is complete. Thank you!".
4. Click the [OK] button.
You return to the activator screen.
Proceed
to step 6.

4. Click the MIDllnputiOutput button; as the MIDI input!
output ports, choose TR-8 (Mac OS) orTR-8 CTRL
(Windows).
5. Click the [Launch Activator] button.
The Roland Software Product Activator starts.
You've Registered Using Your Facebook Id on
the Roland Account Service
1. Click the radio button near by "Users who registered on
Roland Account Service with a Facebook Account."
2. Click the Facebook logo to open the Facebook login
screen.
3. Log in to the Facebook account that you registered in
Roland account service.
When login is complete, the Facebook login screen closes.
4. Click the [Activate] button below.
The screen indicates "Activation is com plete. Thankyoul".
5. Click the [OK] button.
You return to the activator screen.
6. Verify that the screen indicates "Activation is complete," and then click the [Xl button in the upper right of the window.
The activation window closes.
7. In the utility screen, click the [Exit] button.
This completes activation.
When you power-on
the TR-8, it indicates "707."
