• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
• Never immerse base unit, power cord and plug into water or clean
them under running water!
• Attention: Hazard of injury! Do not touch the sharp-edged
blade! Handle cutting tools with care to avoid injuries!
Quick cleaning between work processes
• For a quick cleaning of the glass jar and the sharp-edged blade between several mixing processes, the
function “CLEAN/PULSE” can be used.
• To make use of this function, fi ll the empty glass jar with some water and a drop of dishwashing
detergent in the empty glass jar and close the top cover fi rmly.
• In order to start this function, press and hold the left button. In order to stop this function, release the
button. Also refer to the instructions under point “Operating the appliance".
• Then pour out the soap water and rinse with clear water.
Intensive cleaning after fi nishing work
• Clean the appliance immediately after use so that residues will not dry up.
• Highly pigmented food (e.g. carrots) may stain the appliance’s plastic parts or accessories. Wipe those
parts with some cooking oil before cleaning them.
• The following removable parts are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher:
o Glass jar, top cover (without seal ring), closing cap.
• The following removable parts are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher:
o Blade unit with 6-winged special blade, seal rings.
• Remove all detachable parts from the base unit.
• Clean the base unit with a moist cloth and wipe it dry.
• Clean all other parts in hot water with some dishwashing detergent or if suitable in the dishwasher.
• Clean the blade unit with the 6-winged special blade as well as the seal ring of the blade unit in hot
water with some detergent and a cleaning brush.
• Remove the seal ring from the top cover and clean it in hot water with some dishwashing detergent.
• After all removable parts are dry again, reassemble them according to the instructions in this manual.
• Do not use any abrasives and solvents or sharp objects!
• Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning the appliance or the accessories!
