5.2 Assembling the appliance
Insert the gasket and
mind a proper fi tting.
Hold the blade unit
from below and turn
the glass jar clockwise
with the other hand
in order to tighten the
blade unit.
Put the small measuring
cup on the lid, then
tighten it by turning it
clockwise to the stop.
Place the lid on the
glass jar and press it on
fi rmly.
Turn the glass jar clock-
wise in order to tighten
it (both arrows must
meet and the glass jar
must engage).
6. Integrated safety system
The appliance features a safety system. A safety micro switch ensures that the appliance will only work if
the glass jar is fi tted properly on the base unit. Together with the observance of this instruction manual,
this ensures a safe operation.
7. Prior to initial use
For a start, please clean the appliance as well as all attachments. For more detailed information please
refer to “10. Cleaning and maintenance”.
