Special characteristics of induction hobs
With an induction hob, the heat is not trans-

pan to the food being cooked but instead
generated directly inside the pan by magne-
tic induction.
An induction coil underneath the glass-cera-
mic hob surface generates an alternating

glass-ceramic panel and induces heat-gene-
rating eddy currents in the base of the pan.
Advantages
l Energy-saving cooking due to direct
energy transfer to the pan.
l Greater safety as the energy is only
transmitted when a pan is on the hob.

ween the induction plate and pan base.
l Short heating-up times.
l Minimal risk of burns as hob is only hea-
ted by the pan base.
l Pan spillages do not burn on the hob.
l Fast, precisely controllable energy trans-
fer.

to the base of your cooking pan. If it is stron-
gly attracted, you can use the pan on the in-
duction hob.
