START-UP
WARNING
System is operating under pressure!
Incorrect installation could damage the maintenance
unit and cause serious injury.
Before start-up, check that all connections, ports, and
modules have been correctly installed.
WARNING
Sudden surge in pressure during start-up!
If no lling unit is used, the system will suddenly
be under pressure during start-up. This could cause
dangerous and sudden cylinder movements.
When starting up a system without a unit, make sure
that the cylinders are in their end position. For cylinders
not in end position, make sure they do not present any
danger.
Before start-up, check:
all connections for secure t,
all modules of the maintenance unit for proper assembly,
the oil-mist lubricator (if existing) for sufcient oil and
correct oil amount setting,
the pressure regulator for correct setting,
the lter module for properly equipped lters.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Relling oil
Regularly check the oil level and rell if the oil has
reached the minimum lling height indicated on the
reservoir.
For tips on relling the oil, see Lubricator on page 9.
CHANGING THE FILTER ELEMENT
WARNING
System is operating under pressure!
Opening the system when it ist under pressure could
damage the maintenance unit and cause serious injury.
Ensure that the system is pressure-free before opening
the lter reservoir.
Filters become contaminated with use and must be changed
regularly:
for active carbon lters every six months, for all other lters
yearly. This, however, is only a recommendation, since the
interval depends on the quality of the compressed air and
the amount of air throughput.
CARING FOR THE MAINTENANCE UNIT
CAUTION
Solvents and aggressive cleaning agents!
Solvents and aggressive cleaning agents damage the
polycarbonate container of the maintenance unit!
Clean polycarbonate components only with a slightly
damp cloth. Use only water and, if necessary, a mind
cleaning agent without chemical additives.
Seal all openings with suitable protective caps to prevent de-
tergents from penetrating the system.
Never use solvents or strong detergents. Only clean the
product using a slightly damp cloth. Only use water and, if
necessary, a mild detergent.
Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning.
Do not use compressed air for cleaning (blowing off) mainte-
nance units or maintenance devices.
DISPOSAL
Careless disposal of the maintenance units or its compo-
nents could cause environmental damage. Raw materials
cannot be recycled.
Dispose of the maintenance unit in accordance with your
country’s national regulations.
