Use of Three-step zigzag/Tricot
stitch.
This is a strong stitch because as its
name implies, it makes three short
stitches where the normal zigzag
makes only one.
For this reason it is highly
recommended for overcasting aile
types
of fabrics.
It is also ideal for mending tears,
patching, sewing towelling,
patchwork and attaching flat
elastic.

Der Elastik stich.
Der Elastikstich ist besonders
strapazierflihig, weil er, anders
als der normale Zickzackstich,
auf gleichem Raum drei kleine,
kurze
Stich niiht.
Er empfiehlt sich daher fUr aile
Uberwendingsarbeiten an
Stofikanten, die zum Ausfransen
neigen.
Weiterhin ist der Elastikstich gut
einzusetzen zum Flicken, zu
Patchwork-Arbeiten und zum
Aufniihen von gummiband.
