MAINTENANCE
> Always adapt the system to the latest technical
safety standards during/after maintenance work
or when replacing the Drum Motor.
Risk of injury due to improper handling
or accidental starting of the motor.
Only qualied and authorized personnel may
perform maintenance work. Only perform
maintenance work after switching off the power
supply. Make sure that the drum motor cannot
be switched on accidentally.
Maintenance
LP series Drum Motors do not generally require
maintenance or any special care. Nevertheless,
they should be checked at regular intervals.
Drum Motor check
- Visually check the drum motor, cables and
connections for damage.
- Make sure that the belt is correctly aligned and
centred on the drum motor. Adjust the alignment
if necessary.
- Make sure that the drum motor shafts (and
brackets) are rmly fastened to the conveyor
frame.
Oil change: The oil in the drum motor does not
need to be changed.
Cleaning
Material deposited on the drum motor should
be removed regularly. Regular cleaning ensures
extensive trouble-free operation and belt running.
To clean the drum motor, remove as much foreign
material as possible from the drum shell and avoid
using sharp-edged tools when cleaning.
