S VERTICAL STEAMING
31 Iron hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics.
32 Check that there’s adequate ventilation behind the fabric,
otherwise moisture may build up, causing mildew.
33 Check that there’s nothing behind the fabric that may be
damaged by the steam.
34 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
35 Set the temperature control to max, set the steam control to S.
36 Hold the iron just off the fabric, then press the S button.
37 It may need 2 or 3 presses to pump water through the system.
38 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.
C AFTER USE
39 Set the temperature control to , set the steam control to S.
40 Unplug the iron.
41 Press the V button in fully, and hold it in, to open the filling valve.
42 Empty the reservoir, via the heel, into the sink.
43 Release the V button, to close the valve and seal the reservoir.
44 Sit the iron on its heel, and leave it to cool down completely.
45 Wipe off any moisture.
46 Store the iron on its heel, to avoid corrosion or soleplate damage.
C SELF CLEAN
47 To avoid scale build-up, self clean at least monthly in normal
water areas, more often in hard water areas.
48 You’ll need a basin or bowl to set below the soleplate.
49 Fill the reservoir to the max mark.
50 Set the temperature control to max, set the steam control to S.
51 Sit the iron on its heel.
52 Power the iron up, and wait till the light goes out.
53 Unplug the iron.
54 Now hold the iron over the basin/bowl, with the soleplate down.
55 Press the C button, hold it in, and gently move the iron to and
fro, over the basin or bowl.
