■ Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc
WARNING
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal
injury.
Only the parts shown on the parts list are intended to be
repaired or replaced by the customer. All other parts should
be replaced at an Authorized Service Center.
REPLACING THE BLADE
See Figures 9 - 10.
Replace blades when worn down to indicator hole on blade.
■ Remove the battery pack.
■ Wear gloves when handling blade.
■ Align the slot in the inner flange with the slot in the
motor ring; place the holding pin through both slots to
secure in place.
■ Using the wrench (included), turn the flange nut
counterclockwise to loosen.
■ Remove the old blade from the motor shaft.
■ Clean debris from the edger shaft, inner flange and
outer flange.
■ Center the new blade on the inner flange, making sure
the blade sits flat.
■ Properly install the outer flange with the raised center
area with the hole not touching the blade and the outer
ring of the outer flange touching the blade.
■ Install the flange nut onto the motor shaft and reinsert
the holding pin into the slots as described above.
■ Using a wrench, turn the flange nut clockwise onto the
edger shaft and tighten securely.
WARNING
Always make sure the blade is correctly installed and
securely fastened before each use. Failure to properly
install the blade may result in serious personal injury.
STORING THE EDGER
■ Remove the battery pack from the edger before storing.
■ Clean all foreign material from the edger.
■ Store it in a place that is inaccessible to children.
■ Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden
chemicals and de-icing salts.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing
of as waste. The machine, accessories
and packaging should be sorted for
environmental-friendly recycling.
