STARTING AND STOPPING
WARNING
Never start or run the engine inside a closed or poorly
ventilated area; breathing exhaust fumes can kill.
TO START A COLD ENGINE (FIG. 5):
n Move ignition switch (3) to “ I ” run position.
n Make sure cruise control (4) is locked in idle position.
Do not engage the throttle trigger (2) or cruise control
during the start-up process.
n Slowly press the primer bulb 7 times.
n Rotate the choke dial clockwise to the FULL CHOKE
position.
n Pull the starter grip sharply until engine attempts to run
(no more than 4 pulls).
n Rotate the choke dial to the counterclockwise HALF
CHOKE position.
n Pull the starter grip sharply until the engine runs.
n Allow the engine to run for 10 seconds.
n Rotate the choke dial counterclockwise to the RUN
position.
