If your Ryobi Trimmer engine does not reach full speed and emits excessive smoke, check the lubricant fuel mixture and use fresh fuel with the correct 2-stroke lubricant mix. If lubricant is dripping from the silencer of your Ryobi Trimmer, it could be due to operating the product at partial throttle; operate it at full throttle instead. Also, check the lubricant/fuel mixture and ensure you are using fresh fuel with the correct 2-stroke lubricant mix. Another potential cause is a dirty air filter, which should be cleaned according to the instructions in the Maintenance section.
