How to fix Ryobi RLT254SDSO Trimmer if engine will not start?
- JJennifer EdwardsJul 26, 2025
If your Ryobi Trimmer engine won't start, there could be several reasons. First, the spark plug might be damaged, so remove it and check for dirt or cracks, and replace it if needed. Second, there might be no fuel, in which case you should push the primer bulb until it's full. If it doesn't fill, the primary fuel delivery system may be blocked. Finally, the engine could be flooded. To fix this, remove the spark plug, turn the trimmer so the spark plug hole faces the ground, rotate the choke dial to the indicated position, and pull the starter cord 10 to 15 times.
