  If you're not getting crema with your Sage Coffee Maker, make sure the coffee is tamped firmly enough, refer to ‘Coffee Dose & Tamping’ on page 7. Also, ensure you use a suitable espresso grind. If the coffee grind is too coarse, refer to ’Extraction Guide’ on page 8. Use freshly roasted beans. If the filter holes are blocked, use the fine pin on the cleaning tool to clear the holes.

  If your Sage Coffee Maker is not generating steam, first ensure the machine is plugged in, switched on at the power outlet, and the POWER button is pressed. Check that the water tank is filled. Make sure the Control Dial is in the ‘Steam’ position and that you use the ‘SELECT’ button to toggle to ‘Steam’, ensuring the ‘Steam’ LED is illuminated. The steam wand may be blocked, use the pin on the cleaning tool to clear the opening. If it remains blocked, remove the tip of the steam wand using the spanner in the middle of the cleaning tool.
