Alwaysensuretheseatbeltwillnotbecometrapped
inthedooraperturewhenclosingthedoor,damage
willoccur.
Pullingtheseatbeltouttooquicklymaycauseitto
'lock'.Inthiscase,allowtheseatbelttoretract
slightlyandthenpullitacrossyourbodyslowly.
Ifitisdifculttopulltheseatbeltout,itmaybedue
totwistedwebbing.Ifthisisthecase,fullyextract
theseatbelt,removethetwist,allowtheseatbelt
toretractslowly.
Whenusingtherearseatbeltspleaseensurethey
arefullyretractedintothecorrectpositiontoavoid
jammingintherearseatcatches.Eveniftheseat
beltisnotcompletelysmoothed,itisstillrequired
tobewornduringdriving,butthetwistedpartofthe
seatbeltshallnotcontactthepassenger .Whenthis
happens,pleasegotoanMGAuthorisedRepairer
forrepair .
CorrectRoutingoftheSeatBelts
Ensuretheseatbeltiscorrectlypositionedon
thebody,NEVERcrosstheneckorabdomen,
NEVERpasstheseatbeltbehindthebackor
underthearms.
Whenwearingseatbelts,thelapbeltsectionshouldbe
positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips.Nevercross
theabdomen.Intheeventofacollision,thelapbeltcan
applyaforceonthehipsandreducethepossibilityofyou
