desiredrange.
•Thevacuuminthebrakingsystemfallsbelowapreset
limit.
•Startermotortemperatureisaboveapresetlimit.
•Reversegearselectedorhasbeenselectedpriorto
parking.
•Inhigh-altitudezones.
•Onthehill.
AutomaticEngineStart
Afterthecarisstopped,theenginewillbeautomatically
startedwhendetectingoneofthefollowingoperationsof
driver,andtheStart-Stopsystemindicatorlamponthe
instrumentpack
extinguishes:
•SelectDgear,andreleasethebrakepedal.
•Depressthebrake/acceleratorpedalwhenP/Ngearis
selected.
•SelectDgear(R/D/S).
Note:WhenEPBsystemorAutoHoldsystemis
enabled,theenginewillnotautomaticallystart.
Note:Inindividualsituation,themalfunction
indicatorlampontheinstrumentwillilluminateinthe
processofautomaticenginestart.Thisoccursdueto
thelowvoltageduringstartup,notindicatingactual
faults.Ifthemalfunctionindicatorlampisstillonfor
alongtimeafterenginestart-up,seekalocalMG
AuthorisedRepairer.
Evenifthedriverdoesnothaveanyoperation,theengine
willstartautomaticallyupondemandsofthevehicleafter
automaticstop:
•Frontdefrostison.
•Activatetheairconditioner ,andthetemperatureinside
thevehicledoesnotmeetthetargetvalue.
•Batterypowerisbelowapresetlimit.
•Thevehiclespeedexceedsitslimits,forexample,when
slippingonslopes.
•Thevacuuminthebrakingsystemfallsbelowapreset
limit.
•TheStart-Stopmainswitch(1)ispressed.
Whenoneofthefollowingsoccursaftertheengineis
automaticallystopped,theenginecanonlybemanually
