●Normal( ) focus mode
The focus range is 1.0m ~ infinity. No icons will display on
the LCD monitor when you select this focus mode.
※To prevent the image from being dim, maintain the focus
range at 1.0m ~ infinity.
●Macro ( ) focus mode
The focus range is 0.2m. A Macro icon( ) will display on
the LCD monitor when you select this focus mode.
※To prevent the image from being dim, maintain the focus
range at 0.2m.
Starting the recording mode
■ When the Flash Off or Slow synchro mode is selected in a low lighting condition, the camera
shake warning indicator ( ) may appear on the LCD monitor. In this case, use a tripod,
support the camera on a solid surface or change the flash mode to flash shot mode.
■ Backlight compensated shots : When taking an outdoor shot, avoid facing the sun, as the
image may be dark because of the strong backlight. In backlight conditions, please use the
[BACKLIGHT] in the scene shooting mode (p.35), fill-in flash (p.26), spot metering(p.38), or
exposure compensation (p.32).
■ Avoid obstructing the lens or the flash when you capture an image.
