This document is an installation manual for a Samsung Gas Slide-in Range, model NSG6D*8*****. It provides comprehensive instructions for safe and proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the appliance.
Function Description:
The Samsung Gas Slide-in Range is a cooking appliance designed for indoor, household use. It features gas surface burners for cooktop cooking and an oven for baking and broiling. The range is equipped with an electronic ignition system for both surface and oven burners. A self-cleaning oven feature is included, operating at high temperatures to burn away food soils. The appliance is designed to be installed in a freestanding cutout cabinet and requires both a gas supply and an electrical connection. An anti-tip device is a critical safety feature that must be installed to prevent the range from tipping over.

- Cookware Compatibility: Designed for top-range cooking, use cookware large enough to cover burner grates, and adjust flames to not extend beyond the cookware bottom. Avoid exceedingly large cookware.
- Preheating: Important for good baking results; the oven beeps 6 times when the desired cooking temperature is reached.
Maintenance Features:
- Self-Cleaning Oven: Operates at high temperatures to burn away food soils. Requires removal of all racks, cookware, and utensils (except porcelain-coated oven racks) before starting. Grease and food soils should be wiped from the oven prior to a self-cleaning cycle.
- Regular Cleaning: Vents should be cleaned regularly to avoid grease buildup.
- Burner Cleaning: Ensure burners are off and completely cool before removing parts for cleaning. Burner spreader must be completely dry before re-assembly.
- Gas Leak Detection: Use a soapy water mixture to check for gas leaks at joints and connections. Small bubbles indicate a leak. Do not use a flame.
- Air Adjustment Shutters: Oven burner air adjustment shutters are factory preset but should be checked and adjusted periodically to ensure efficient operation.
- Professional Service: Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier. Any adjustments or service not specifically recommended in the manual should be referred to a qualified technician.
