Function
Description
Display a brief description of an option or menu.

Off, On*)
Start Image
Set a start image to display when the camera turns
on.
• Off*: Display no start image.
• Logo: Display a default image stored in the internal
memory.
• User Image: Display the image you want. (p. 62)
• The camera saves only one start image in the
internal memory at a time.
• If you select a new photo as a start image or
reset your camera, the camera deletes the
current image.
Display
Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the screen.
(Auto*, Dark, Normal, Bright)
Normal is fixed in Playback mode even if you have
selected Auto.
Quick View
Set the duration for reviewing a captured image before
returning to the Shooting mode.
(Off, 0.5 sec*, 1 sec, 3 sec)

Volume
Adjust the volume of any sound.
(Off, Low, Medium*, High)
Start Sound
Select the sound the camera emits when you turn
it on. (Off*, 1, 2, 3)
Shutter Sound
Select the sound the camera emits when you
press the shutter button. (Off, 1*, 2, 3)
Beep Sound
Select the sound the camera emits when you
press buttons or switch modes. (Off, 1*, 2, 3)
AF Sound
Select the sound the camera emits when you
half-press the shutter button. (Off, On*)
