*_ The REC MODEfunction worksin bothCAMERA and PLAYER(DVIN) modes.
This camcorder recordsand playsback in SP (standard play) mode and in LP(long play) mode.
• SP (standardplay): This mode permits 60 minutes of recording time with a DVM60 tape.
• LP (long play):This mode permits 90 minutesof recording time with a DVM60tape.
1. Set the camcorder to CAMERA or PLAYERmode.
2. Press the MENU button.
• The menu list will appear.
3. Turnthe MENU DIAL to highlight NV and pressthe ENTER button.
4. Select REC MODE from the submenu and press the ENTER button.
• The REC MODEtoggles between SP and LP with each press.
5. To exit.press the MENU button.
• We recommend thatyou use thiscamcorderto playback any tapesrecordedon thiscamcorder.
Playing back a tape recorded in other equipment may produce mosaic shaped distortion.
• When you record a tape in SP and LP modes, or LP mode only,the playback picture may be distorted or the time code
may not bewritten properly between scenes.
• Record using SP mode for best picture and sound quality.
