together,
wash,
and
let
sit
for
30-60
minutes.

Heat
red
beans
in
a
pot
full
of
water
over
strong
flame.
Bring
to
a
boil
and
discard
broth.
Add
another
half
quart
of
water
and
simmer
until
beans
are
just
a
little
hard.

Remove
outer
skin
of
the
burdock,
shred
into
fine
strips,
and
soak
in
water.

Chop
carrots
into
thin
strips
and
cut
chicken
into
small,
bite
sizes.

Cut
konnyaku
into
thin
strips
and
boil
briefly.

Briefly
boil
deep-fried
tofu
and
cut
into
thin
slices.

Make
seasoning
by
adding
soy
sauce,
sake,
and
salt
to
the
dashi
and
mix
well.

rice,
pour
into
inner
pot,
and
add
enough
seasoning
prepared
in
step
