WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
,27 Use only distilled water or tap water as the unit's water for
evaporation. Never use chemicals such as alcohol, well wa-
ter or salt water. They could cause the unit to explode or re-
sult in corrosion.
28 Never open the drain valve while sterilization is in progress
^ or while the pressure in the chamber is still high. Failure to
take this precaution could result in issuing of hot and pres-
surized steam from the valve, that could be extreamly dan-
gerous. Also, since the water inside the chamber is quite hot
immediately after sterilization finishes, allow plenty of time
for it to cool down before discarding old water.
,29 Never pour water on the unit. Water could leak into inside of
the uint and cause electrical shock or malfunctions.
.30 Do not bring your face or hands near the pressure safety
valve to avoid burn hazard. If the unit is operating, steam
suddenly may issue from the valve.
/K31 Never open the door to avoid burns or injury to personnel, if
sterilization is in progress or the chamber is pressured.
Always confirm that the chamber pressure has returned to 0
MPa and the indicator is lighting the finishing mark. Failure
to take this precaution could result in causing of the unit to
malfunction and releasing of the steam that is extremely
dangerous.
.32 Do not touch the chamber, door or arm to avoid burns, if
sterilization is in progress or immediately afterward.
.33 Do not shake the unit to avoid the explosion of items or a
burn hazard, if the unit is operating.
