Why does my Scag Power Equipment SFC-21-5CV Lawn Mower leave strips of uncut grass in the cutting path?

Streaking, or strips of uncut grass in the cutting path, can occur for several reasons: * Dull or worn blades need sharpening. * Incorrect blade sharpening requires you to sharpen the blades. * Low engine RPM means you should run the engine at full RPM. * A slipping belt requires belt tension adjustment. * Grass accumulation under the deck means you should clean the underside of the deck. * Excessive ground speed requires slowing down to suit the conditions. * Wet grass means you should cut after it has dried out. * Bent blades need replacement.
