Draining the fuel tank (g: S + Z)
Have a suitable container ready and open the drain
plug (t) of the oat chamber (g. Z). Now remove the
tank cap (12) and open the fuel tap (11). The system is
then completely empty. Close the tank cap (12) again.
Cleaning / replacing the air lter (g O - Q)
• Unscrew the wing nut (o) and remove the air lter
cap (n)
• Check the air lter cap (n) for holes and cracks. Re-
place the damaged element.
• Unscrew the inner wing nut (p) and carefully pull out
the paper lter insert (s) with the foam lter insert
(r).
• Wipe off dirt on the inside of the lter housing with
a clean moist cloth. Make sure that no direct en-
ters the opening. Set the air lter cap (n) on the
lter housing for the duration of the lter cleaning
process.
• Carefully remove the foam lter insert (r) from the
paper lter insert (s). Check both parts for damage.
Replace the damaged inserts.
• Clean the foam lter insert (r) in warm water and
a mild soap solution. Thoroughly rinse it out with
clear water and let it dry completely.
• Immerse the foam insert (r) into clean engine oil
and press out the excess oil.
• Securely knock the paper lter insert (s) on a hard
surface to remove the dirt. Never brush out the dirt,
since it is pressed into the bre.
• Set the foam insert (r) on the paper lter insert (s)
and install the air lter element with the seal again.
• Screw the rst wing nut (p) on the paper lter insert.
• Mount the air lter cap (n) and fasten the second
wing nut (o).
m ATTENTION!: Never run the engine without or
with a damaged air lter insert. This would allow dirt
to enter the engine, which would damage the engine.
The manufacturer warranty is then invalidated.
Cleaning / replacing the spark plug (g. T + U)
m ATTENTION! Only remove the spark plug when
the engine is cold!
Clean or replace spark plug as required.
• Remove the spark plug connector and clean any
dirt from the spark plug areas.
• Unscrew the spark plug (8) and check it.
• Check the Isolator. If there is any damage, e.g.
cracks or chips, replace the spark plug.
• Clean the spark plug electrodes with a wire brush.
• Check and set the electrode gap. To make sure
that the engine remains efcient, the spark plug (8)
must have the right electrode gap (0.7-0.8 mm).
• Manually screw the spark plug (8) in and tighten it
with the spark plug spanner (g) approximately 1/4
of a revolution.
• Tension the belt (k) with the help of the adjusting
screw and ensure that the engine / belt pulley re-
main perpendicular.
• Tighten the drive belt (k) if the belt gives more than
10-15 mm (when pressing your thumb on it).
• Attach the belt guard (19) again with the two screws.
m ATTENTION!
When removing or installing the drive belt (k), be
careful not to get your ngers caught between the
belt and pulley.
Exciter oil change
• The exciter housing is pre-serviced using Automat-
ic Transmission Fluid SAE 10W 30 or its equivalent.
Change uid after 200 hours of operation.
• Let exciter cool before changing exciter oil.
• Tilt the plate toward a drain pan to aid in the remov-
al of all used oil and particles.
• Remove the oil drain screw (m) in order to drain
the oil out of the exciter unit. Check the oil for any
swarf, in order to obtain information to avoid future
problems.
• After oil has been completely drained from the ma-
chine, reinstall drain plug (m).
• Return plate housing to the upright position.
• Remove the plastic cap with the screwdriver.
• Fill in the exciter housing with exciter oil through
ller plug (7) opening.
• Insert the cover cap.
m ATTENTION!
Do not overll – overlling can result in excessive
temperatures in the exciter.
Changing the motor oil (g. R + W)
After 20 operating hours, the oil must be changed for
the rst time, then every 100 operating hours.
To remove the oil proceed as follows:
1. Have an oil collection tray at the ready and then
open the oil drain screw (j).
2. Open the lling cap (measuring stick) (16), tilt the
machine and let the oil drain.
3. Fill the oil (0,6 l) in, check with the measuring stick
(16), and close.
4. Close the oil drain screw (j) again.
5. For storage: Pull starter slowly for 5 times, so that
the oil spreads (without ignition)
Recommended engine oil SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40
(depending on the operating temperature).
Dispose of waste oil according to your country’s reg-
ulations. It is not allowed to drain waste oil onto the
ground or mix it with other waste material.
