4.4 Checking ram extension
For referencing, the press requires a mechanical stop.
In case of a malfunction of the press the ram might damage this mechanical
stop; thus, the reference position and the ram extension at home position
are misaligned.

 Check the ram extension at home position after the reference run.
If the ram extension at home position is misaligned, the mechanical stop
must be replaced (see chapter "4.5 Replacing the mechanical stop").
4.5 Replacing the mechanical stop
Two stop pins are installed in the distortion lock as mechanical stop for the
ram.
If necessary, the stop pins can be replaced.
 Remove the socket head screws at the distortion lock.
 Remove the distortion lock from the press head.
 Remove the stop pins with a strainer.
 Press in the new stop pins to the stop (with 12.2 mm extension).
 Insert the distortion lock into the press head.
 Screw the distortion lock to the press head.
