2.2 Function
In the ElectricPress the force of the motor is transmitted via a planetary gear
by means of the gear wheels to a gear rack at the ram. This results in a
constant force progression over the entire work stroke.
The integrated brake is used as device for retention of ram in home position
and prevents the lowering of the ram in currentless condition.
For force/stroke monitoring, the "stroke" signal and the "force" signal are
determined.
These signals are processed and evaluated in process data acquisition. The
results are then transmitted to the connected control unit.
