OPERATION
11.3 Roadway Cutting - With Traffic
NOTE: The following descriptions are for a single lane highway (one lane of traffic in each direction).
FX-318/FX-212 standard blade rotation is designed
for optimum cutting “with traffic”. With traffic means
cutting in the right ditch with traffic on the left. The
wing blade rotations (right - counter-clockwise, left -
clockwise) help to lift or stand up the grass, that has
been tramped by the tractor, while it is being cut. The
clockwise center section rotation helps to lift the
grass in the right track, which is lower in the ditch,
where the growth tends to be heavier. This blade
rotation set up directs material into the ditch away
from the road.
