Why won't my Schumacher Electric SP1 turn on?
    • D
      Donald RiosJul 28, 2025
If your Schumacher Electric Battery Charger won't turn on despite being properly connected, first, check the AC outlet for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Then, ensure the power cord and any extension cords have a secure connection. Also, make sure the connections to the battery are not reversed by unplugging the charger and reversing the clips. If the battery voltage is too low (under 0.2 volts), the charger's automatic start feature won't activate. Finally, the battery may be defective and needs to be checked or replaced.

      huntrebeccaAug 6, 2025
If the CHARGED LED on your Schumacher Electric Battery Charger is blinking, it means the battery is already 80% charged or more. To resolve this, keep the charger connected until the green light stops blinking.

Why is my Schumacher Electric SP1 clicking?
    • M
      Michael TaylorAug 15, 2025
If your Schumacher Electric Battery Charger is making a clicking sound, it could be due to several reasons. The battery may be defective and should be checked. Alternatively, the battery might be severely discharged but otherwise in good condition; in this case, allow charging to continue until the battery recovers sufficiently, but if it continues for more than 20 minutes, stop charging and have the battery checked. Finally, ensure that the connections at the battery are not reversed; if they are, shut off the charger and correct the lead connections.
