What to do if the combustion air blower does not start in my Schwank SEM 200-70?
- TTaylor MartinezAug 9, 2025
If the combustion air blower in your Schwank Heater doesn't start, begin by checking the line voltage power supply and the voltage at the blower motor. If voltage is present, consider replacing the motor. Also, verify the thermostat, wiring connections, and fuse/circuit breaker. Ensure that the air intake and flue air proving switch are not blocked, and that the pressure tube is connected and not blocked. Check the air pressure with a manometer and confirm that the air proving switch closes when the blower runs. Replace any defective switches as needed.
