TYPICAL — THRU-HULL VALVE
1. Closed position
WARNING
Never tow a boat with water re-
maining in the ballast reservoirs.
The weight of ballast increases the
load on the trailer, the axle, and
thetires,whichcouldleadtopre-
mature wear or failure. This also
contributes to reduce the stability
of your boat on the road by raising
the center of gravity of the trailer.
Always completely empty the bal-
last reservoirs before trailering.
To Flush
All ballast reservoirs should be flushed
every time the boat is used on another
stretch of water.
Use the following procedure to flush
the ballast system.
1. Safely secure the boat on the trailer.
2. Ensure thru-hull valves located
in the engine compartment are
closed.
