Inspection
Check balancer shaft and replace if damaged.
If the gear on the balancer shaft is damaged, re-
place balancer shaft.
Check gear on the crankshaft at the same time and
replace crankshaft if necessary (refer to CRANK-
SHAFT above).
Balancer Shaft Bearing Seat Play
Measure all balancer shaft bearing seats. Com-
pare to inside diameter of balancer shaft bearings
(elsewhere in this section).
