About Seagate Wireless Plus Wi-Fi Security
Since your Seagate Wireless Plus device is a wireless broadcasting device, it can be “seen”
by any Wi-Fi device within its range (up to 45 meters/147 feet).
You can use Seagate Media app to create a password and prevent unauthorized access to
the Seagate Wireless Plus. See the
Seagate Media support page for further details.
Tip: When you have your Seagate Wireless Plus device physically connected to your
computer with a cable, wireless is disabled; your files are not visible to others.
