The telephone rings repeatedly with a long
ring impulse while its display shows the trunk
number. If the call has been forwarded, the
text “CALL FORWARDED FROM” followed by
the number of the user forwarding the call is
also displayed.
To answer the call, lift the handset and it may
be necessary to also press the function key
programmed as “external call”, next to the
flashing led (dependent upon SAE exchange
programming).
How to answer a trunk line call sent to your telephone
Your colleague is absent from the office and you wish to answer incoming
calls directed to their telephone
If you are apart of the same work group, lift the
handset and dial the “general pick-up for
absent user” code .
If you are not apart of the same work group
and you wish to answer a call directed to a
specific telephone, lift the handset, dial the
“individual pick-up for absent user”
code , followed by the number of the
ringing telephone.
